There's no hustle in Big Stink. There's no bustle either.

That's out at the old granary, right next to the old warehouse by the old tracks.There's not much going on there these days. That's just fine with the tarantulas and lizards.

When we had water, old Thurgood kept his pigs in there. Pigs need water. When you don't have water, you can't have pigs.

If the doctor ever gives you a week to live, you should come on out to Big Stink. Out here, a week can seem like forever.

That's Mable. She's spending a little time out back of Doc Parker's place. She's not sure whether she's going home or going to the meat plant. I'm not sure either. I'm hoping she's going home. I like Mable.

You'll find those two down past the railroad tracks by the old granary. They're thick as thieves. You'll never see one without the other.
